I'm Jeff Bloch. I have a computer science degree from Purdue University and have spent my career connecting new technology to real-world business, in IT services, recruitment, drones and, most recently, building AI-powered products like MallorcaGuide.com.
I use Claude and Claude Code every day to write, research, plan and build. Now I help people who don't consider themselves "tech people" get the same benefits: patiently, in plain English, and set up safely.
Questions
Do I need to be technical?
Not at all. If you can use email and join a video call, you're ready. We go at your pace, in plain English.
What is Claude?
Claude is an AI assistant made by Anthropic. You can talk to it like a very capable helper: it writes, researches, summarizes, organizes and can work with your files and apps. Claude Code is a more advanced version that can build things for you, like simple tools and websites.
What do I need to buy?
A Claude plan, paid directly to Anthropic. Claude Pro at $20 a month is right for most people. If you're using it for work, check first whether your company already has a Claude plan. I'll help you choose before we meet.
Mac or Windows?
Either works. You'll need a laptop or desktop computer (not a tablet) for the session. The Claude phone app is a nice extra.
What if it doesn't work for me?
If you're not up and running by the end of our session, you get a full refund.
Are you affiliated with Anthropic?
No. Assistant Ready is an independent business. I'm a daily Claude user who helps others get set up.
